About
Briana is a Bay Area-based video producer and editor focusing on culture and science stories. Most recently, she was a video producer with Nexus Media News, a nonprofit news service reporting on climate change. In that role, she produced explainers and short documentaries for The Guardian’s environmental justice series America’s dirty divide. In 2023, she spearheaded the production of a PBS digital docuseries called Facing Down the Fossils, focused on resistance and solutions to fossil fuel infrastructure. She also led the production of a PBS series of short documentaries on Indigenous community responses to climate change, which aired on the World Channel. Prior to Nexus, she was a video producer for WIRED, where her stories covered everything from kinetic sculptures to the death of malls. Her work has also appeared in The Atlantic, The Nation, Yes! Magazine, Popular Science and Newsy. She is a proud alumnus of the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism. When she’s not working, Briana can be found wrangling her giant rescue dog, Dewey and bingeing whatever dark comedy show currently has the internet all abuzz.
